What has changed?

Family watching television together
1960s
Watching television in the 1960s was very unique compared to what it is like today. There weren't that many channels and their got their TV reception though either a pair of antennas which were located on the top of the television or an aerial antenna which was attached to their homes or on the roof. They also had no idea what Cable TV was or the impact that it would have on the rest of the world. It was also entertainment for the entire family.

1990s
Watching television in the 1990s was very different in comparison to the  1960s and also  today. The reason for this is because they weren't a lot of different technologies that  like there is now. For instance if you wanted to record something it would have been on a VHS tape because there weren't technologies such as Sky Plus etc.

There are also different technologies in which someone can watch television on different devices. These include:

  • iPod Touch
  • Amazon Kindle Fire HD
  • XBOX
  • Playstation
  • Nintendo Wii
  • iPad
